Fireplace Installation

The new gas fireplace was installed yesterday. Here's the view of the formal living room from the dining room, sans the columns. The french doors off of the kitchen look great!

Siding begins

The siding is being installed. Its starting to look like a home. Can lights are being installed in the kitchen.

A little early Halloween scare....

Our fearless Chuck pulled a skeleton out of the wall in the existing home. You just never know what you will find in the walls of an old home.

Two NEW Windows!

The windows have been installed on both sides of the fireplace! They look great on the inside and out.

The framing for the fireplace is in and waiting for the installation next week.

The floor of the new coat closet is in. Its a closet fit for Harry Potter tucked under the stairs.

Windows and Doors

Windows and doors were installed today. The kitchen sink corner windows are shown from the inside. The french doors off of the kitchen are beautiful inside and outside!

More Interior Photos

Here are some interior photos. This is the new hall from the entry to the guest room. The next photo is the closet in the new bedroom upstairs. The bottom photo shows the new water closet framed in the master bathroom.

Spiders on the Porch

Its fall and the spiders are taking up residence on the front porch. Happy birthday to the Master of the House! We thought you would enjoy these photos.

The chimney has its day.

Today the chimney was removed. It took up quite a bit of square footage and it was not needed anymore. Here is a photo of the guest room without the chimney. The second photo on the right is from the second floor laundry room looking down to the basement. The bottom photo was taken from the basement looking up.

New Porches

The side porch has taken shape. The window is where the kitchen sink will be. Check out the view from inside. The back porch will be a nice space to enjoy an evening glass of wine.

Basement storage takes shape.

This is the new basement storage area. The walls are being furred out for proper insulation. The windows will provide natural light.
